As we begin the spring semester, we want campus ministry to be able to provide beautiful encounters of prayer and fellowship while ensuring our students and staff are keep safe and healthy and all Ohio Department of Health (ODH) orders are upheld. According to the CDC, COVID is spread through droplets released through talking, coughing, or sneezing. COVID may also spread to hands from contaminated surfaces and then to the nose or mouth. Guidelines from the ODH and the Archdiocese are used at our events.
The church currently has pews sectioned off and reminders for everyone to social distance and wear masks. All Catholic Bearcat events will take place outside if groups are larger than 10 and not in the church, due to Archdiocese requirements. Hand sanitizer will be available at all events. We will be using a sign-in sheets in the case future tracking is needed. Attendees are asked to wear masks and social distance.
Our Catholic Center is open for students to use upon contacting Olivia to receive an student access code. Students are asked to wear masks, social distance, and sanitize their tables and chairs before leaving. This space is also cleaned regularly.
If an attendee were to self-report a positive COVID test, we would email anyone who would have been at an event with that individual two days before the onset of symptoms with suggested responses, based on what the CDC, Ohio Department of Health, & University of Cincinnati recommend.
If you have any concerns or questions, please reach out to Olivia.
